The assignment
Designing a set of gadgets for a student trip to Panama
Still wet behind the ears and just as they were settling into their new city, sixteen young students formed a close-knit group of friends. Originally intrigued by the traditions of the academic world, the group named themselves Castor, you know... like the mythical twins from ancient times.
Now, years later, these sixteen friends have decided to celebrate their friendship with an adventurous trip to Panama. And that, of course, calls for some awesome gadgets.
The concept
Castor en español
In the meantime the magic of the traditions of the academic world has long worn of and they laughed about how seriously they used to take themselves. They had however grown fond of the name Castor, but now they were finding its meaning to be somewhere between silly and pretentious. A more playful and rebellious approach seemed better suited.
I thought of making a character that could work in many situations, and since "Castor" means "beaver" in Spanish, a mischievous beaver just seemed like the perfect choice.
